Stella Dunkley Art

Stella Dunkley is a British contemporary artist based in Dorset, originally from Richmond upon Thames, London. Since relocating in 1994, she has developed her practice from her studio in the historic coastal town of Christchurch.

Specialising in impressionistic seascapes and landscapes, Stella’s work explores the ever-changing moods of the sea and sky. Working in both oils and acrylics, she creates atmospheric coastal scenes that capture light with a distinctive softness and clarity.

Her paintings are characterised by their luminous colour palettes and gentle movement, often evoking a dreamlike, tranquil quality. Through expressive brushwork and a refined sense of composition, Stella invites the viewer into peaceful coastal environments that feel both familiar and uplifting.

Her work brings a sense of calm, light, and natural beauty into interior spaces, making it particularly suited to contemporary homes seeking a serene and elegant aesthetic.
