Gary Hogben Art

Gary Hogben is a contemporary British artist based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, known for his distinctive mixed media and collage works. With a creative journey spanning decades, his work reflects both traditional artistic foundations and a bold evolution into modern, experimental techniques.

His early passion for art began with pencil sketches and watercolours, before progressing into oil painting at the age of seventeen. Over time, his practice expanded into a wide exploration of styles, including interpretations of Impressionist works. After a period away from painting, a visit to a street art exhibition reignited his creativity, leading him to experiment with spray paint, stencils, and ultimately develop his signature collage style.

Today, Gary’s work is recognised for its unique use of British postage stamps, carefully arranged to create detailed, layered compositions. His pieces combine craftsmanship with storytelling, transforming familiar materials into striking visual art.

With over 300 artworks created, Gary has built an international presence, with collectors across North America, Australia, and Europe. His work has also received notable media recognition, including features in publications such as Vogue, GQ, and the Daily Mirror, as well as appearances on BBC radio.

Gary continues to exhibit across the UK, with both solo and group exhibitions, bringing his innovative mixed media work to a growing audience.
